Jammu: Indian forces have launched a cordon and search operation in the Billawar area of Kathua district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Global Mirror, the operation, involving Indian paramilitary forces and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the police, has been initiated at Kahog village near the forest of Kamadh Nullah.

Reportedly, gunfire was heard during the course of operation.

Officials said reinforcements have been rushed to the area and door to door searches are underway.
