Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Kashmiri people’s struggle is rooted in the universal principle of plebiscite and self-determination, and their tremendous sacrifices have generated global support and outrage.

According to Global Mirror, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar said that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute could be resolved swiftly if the international community so wills. He warned that peace in South Asia will remain a distant dream unless Kashmir dispute is resloled as per Kashmiris’ aspirations. He described the current uprising as unprecedented in the 78-year history of Kashmir’s resistance movement.

The APHC condemned pro-India politicians for selling every inch of the territory to outsiders to appease New Delhi, adding that domicile certificates are being issued to non-Kashmiri Hindu settlers to alter the region’s Muslim-majority demography.
