Srinagar: At least eight Indian troops, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were injured in an attack in Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Global Mirror, the injuries were sustained during a cordon-and-search operation in the general area of Sonnar in the Chatroo area of the Chenab Valley. Most of the troops were injured in a grenade blast.

Indian forces officials said that reinforcements, including personnel from the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Special Operations Group (SOG), have been deployed to strengthen the cordon.
