Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that the basic purpose of the base camp government is to highlight the Kashmir independence movement. Kashmiris have never accepted India's oppressive occupation and have continued to resist it. The success of the battle for justice has given Pakistan a new position and role in international politics. The Kashmiri diaspora has always highlighted the Kashmir dispute.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation led by Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, a prominent Kashmiri leader based in the United States and chairman of the World Forum for Peace and Justice. The delegation included Sardar Zulfiqar Khan, Sardar Zareen Khan, Dr. Waleed Rasool, Nadeem Khokhar, and others.
On the occasion, Senior Minister Mian Abdul Waheed, Government Ministers Sardar Javed Ayub, Syed Bazal Ali Naqvi, Chaudhry Rafique Nair, Chaudhry Qasim Majid, Javed Iqbal Budhwanwi, Ms. Nabeela Ayub Khan, former Minister of Government Professor Taqdees Gilani, Secretary of Government Muhammad Rafiqat Khan, and Director Dr. Raja Sajjad Khan were also present.
The delegation congratulated the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir on taking office and expressed good wishes. Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai informed about the changes in the Kashmir issue at the international level and the effects of the diplomatic efforts of the Government of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said that India is changing the demographic composition of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, all the pro-freedom leadership is in jail, there are complete restrictions on freedom of expression, and no voice from Kashmir is being allowed to reach outside. In the current situation, the role of the Azad Kashmir government and the diaspora has increased. The real situation of occupied Kashmir has to be conveyed to the world.
He said that in the battle for justice, Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with many successes. Under the wise and courageous leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Muneer, the Pakistan Armed Forces defeated India on every front. The Kashmir issue has once again become a flashpoint. The Azad Kashmir government will fully play its role regarding the independence movement.
