Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities have closed all schools and colleges across the Kashmir Valley for two days in view of the prevailing situation following the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei.

According to Global Mirror, Education Minister Sakina Itoo said that all schools and colleges would remain closed on March 2 and 3, adding that the situation would be reviewed before taking any further decision. The Director of School Education Kashmir issued an official order stating that all government and private recognised schools in the Kashmir division shall remain closed in the interest of administration and student safety.

Director Colleges, Prof Sheikh Aijaz Bashir, also announced the closure of all government degree colleges, GCET and private colleges in the Valley for the same period.
