Jammu: Indian forces’ personnel continued their violent cordon-and-search operations in Kishtwar and other districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, terrorising the local population.
According to Global Mirror, the Indian Army, paramilitary units, and the Special Operations Group have intensified house raids across Kishtwar following the martyrdom of three youth in a fake encounter last month in Chatroo. The troops used chemical weapons to burn the bodies of the martyred youth beyond recognition. Civilians, including government employees, are being interrogated and labelled as Over Ground Workers, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation throughout the district.
Similar search operations continue in Doda, Udhampur, and Kathua districts. Authorities have sent photographs of residents for forensic examination, which they said would provide “evidence” against those supporting Kashmir’s right to freedom and resolution of the dispute with India.
