New Delhi: The Congress party has strongly condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel, saying it was “shameful” and displayed “moral cowardice” as it coincided with a major military offensive launched by Israel and the US against Iran.
According to Global Mirror, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh wrote on X: “Two days after Mr. Modi celebrated his visit to Israel, while Israel and the US have begun their joint assault on Iran”.
Ramesh slammed Modi’s visit, saying it was “even more shameful in light of the war that has been launched by two of Mr. Modi’s ‘good friends’.” He accused Modi of abandoning Palestinians and forgetting India’s historical recognition of Palestine.
