Lucknow:A 13-year-old Muslim boy was found dead with a gunshot wound in Lucknow’s Krishnanagar area on Monday evening, triggering shock and tension in the locality.

The boy, Unaiz Khan, a resident of Sarojini Nagar, had been observing the Ramadan fast, according to his family. They allege that after breaking his fast, some acquaintances called him out of his house and took him away in a car.

Hours later, he was found with a gunshot injury to the head. He was rushed to Lokbandhu Hospital but was declared dead by doctors.

His father, Zameer Khan, filed a complaint naming four persons, including a relative of a BJP leader. An FIR has been registered, and police have started an investigation.

The family has alleged that the incident was a “pre-planned murder.” However, relatives of the accused claim the gunshot was accidental during a birthday gathering while making a social media reel.

Police have seized a licensed revolver reportedly linked to one of the accused. Officials said the case is being investigated from all angles.The incident caused tension at the hospital, and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
