Islamabad: The resolution passed on March 23, 1940, is the main driving force behind the Kashmir freedom struggle, which is, in fact, a continuation of the Pakistan Movement.
A report released by Global Mirror in connection with Pakistan Day today said the Kashmir dispute is the unfinished agenda of the partition of the subcontinent, as Pakistanis and Kashmiris are tied by strong bonds of religion, history and culture. It maintained that the Kashmiri delegation that attended the March 23, 1940 public gathering in Lahore, where the Pakistan Resolution was passed, had declared that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would be part of the future Muslim state in the region.
