Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 25-year-old Muslim youth, Tanveer Ahmad Chopan, by Hindu extremists in Ramban district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Global Mirror, APHC-AJK Information Secretary, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, in a statement issued in Islamabad, said that BJP, Shiv Sena, and other Hindu extremist groups were behind the heinous incident, while the IIOJK administration, led by New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor, has maintained a criminal silence over the matter.

He said that targeting any individual on the basis of religion constitutes a grave crime and a blatant violation of human values, international law, and fundamental human rights. Such incidents, he added, create an atmosphere of fear and insecurity.

Mushtaq Ahmad Butt demanded the immediate arrest of all those involved in the barbaric act and called for exemplary punishment to ensure justice is served.
