New Delhi: A video featuring Dr Udita Tyagi, a leader associated with the Mahila Morcha, the women’s wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has sparked widespread backlash online after she made controversial remarks about Muslims during a public event in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

According to Global Mirror, in the clip, widely shared on social media, Dr Tyagi is seen addressing a gathering at the city’s PVS Mall. She encouraged Hindu families to marry at a younger age and have at least four children. What has drawn severe criticism are her derogatory remarks targeting the Muslim community.

In the viral clip, she allegedly referred to Muslims as “jihadi pigs” and claimed that Muslims were “producing children like pigs.” She also appeared to link the community with violence while urging Hindus to increase their population. Several netizens accused her of hate speech and communal incitement. Dr Tyagi has faced controversies in the past, with her name previously surfacing in connection with provocative speeches and confrontational political campaigns in Uttar Pradesh.
